Jackie understands first-hand the emotional stress and extraordinary pressures that teens–and parents—experience during the college decision process. After enthusiastically speaking about the college process with other students and parents, Jackie realized there was a need for professional but compassionate college admissions assistance, recognizing that students and families need not only knowledgeable advice, but a support system to lean on during the process. Jackie's experience with her own children, along with her thorough research and encouragement from many parents and students, inspired Jackie to pursue a career in college counseling.
Helping people navigate important life decisions is not a new endeavor for Jackie. As a former successful mortgage banker, Jackie was committed to helping individuals who were nervously purchasing their first home and those who required guidance on restructuring their financial obligations. She understands how to sensitively discuss financial needs with clients and to be a supportive and knowledgeable guide in the application process.
With a B.A. in Sociology and an M.A. in Applied Social Research, Jackie has designed numerous qualitative and quantitative assessments to gain a nuanced understanding of a student's academic and social interests. Jackie is a lifelong learner and has successfully completed the Independent Educational Consultant Certificate Program at UC Irvine, the Independent Educational Consultant Association’s Summer Training Institute, and is a WOW Certified Essay Coach. She is proud to be an Associate Member of the Independent Educational Consultant Association and the New Jersey Association for College Admissions Counseling. Jackie constantly visits and devotes time to learning about different college programs around the country.
